You might all be looking forward to the (frankly, sparse) calendar of movies in September, but I’m living in 3005. As Cate Blanchett’s biggest fan, I screamed learning I have advance access to new TV show Disclaimer* that’s just premiered at Venice. Gavin’s already given it five stars and I am absolutely gagging to start watching. Do I care about any films releasing in the meantime? Not really. Just give me this and Rivals.

However, what I DO care about is the brilliance we have in this issue. From interviews on Starve Acre (Morfydd Clark is now my favorite interviewee of all time) and The Goldman Case to wonderful think pieces on Gone Girl, Arcane, and women in Ridley Scott movies. They’re all exclusive to this issue, so enjoy.
